At the end of the week, Google has another surprise in store that we actually didn’t expect: almost ten days “delayed”, Google has now rolled out the January update for the Pixel 6 smartphones began. It is supposed to fix many problems and was eagerly awaited by many users for a reason. It’s quite a bold decision.
We had just reported that Google will roll out the January update next Monday, so you can already create facts – and that three days in advance. A few minutes ago, Google started rolling out the January update that was released for all other current Pixel smartphones on Tuesday last week and brought with it several dozen bug fixes and improvements. The Pixel 6 version was originally promised for the end of January.
Bold move by Google
Let’s just hope that the major problems with this update have finally been resolved. It remains to be seen for a few days whether and what the majority of users will report about the update. It is quite a bold move by Google to roll out the update on a Friday evening (or Friday afternoon in the US). This is usually done in the first half of the week so that any problems can be addressed with full attention. Apparently one is convinced that this time enough tests have been carried out. We will keep you up to date on how the update will affect smartphones and whether it will finally “save” the Pixel 6 smartphones. Let’s hope for the best and also that things will go better from February. Here is the list of bug fixes and problems that are fixed with this update apart from the January update for all smartphones.
