On Thursday, March 10, 2022, Studio eins eV, sponsor of the Ostanders Festival, is organizing a benefit event at 8 p.m. in the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG on Fürther Straße 244d in cooperation with the Office for Culture and Leisure (Kuf). The concert is also available as a live stream, the city of Nuremberg announced. The program includes: JOE Band, Aga Labus, Another Mother, Off Brain Project, OOO “Ruslan Band”, Caroline Hausen (recorder) and Eveline Meysel (piano), Thomas Witte with a reading and others. Theater maker Olga Komarova will be the moderator and Vaha Candolucky from Global Art Nuremberg eV Representatives of the partnership association report on their current work and the use of the donations.In times when Nuremberg’s twin city Kharkiv is under attack, the concert is intended to show solidarity and the strong connection between the people in the two cities underline. In order to support the people in Kharkiv directly, aid money is collected. Admission in the evening is for a donation at the entrance, all proceeds are forwarded to the partnership association Kharkiv-Nuremberg eV. The musicians perform free of charge. The Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG provides rooms, technology and staff Mayoress Prof. Dr. Julia Lehner takes over is the patron for the evening: “I hope that we can set a sign of solidarity across national borders with the possibilities of culture and help the people in Kharkiv and in the Ukraine with the donations”.
