Justin Timberlake was seen attending the Pharrell Williams & NIGO dinner event on Thursday, as he continues to brush off backlash from his ex Britney Spears’ explosive memoir.
The hitmaker, 42, sported a camel coat over a matching v-neck sweater and black pants for the dinner, which was hosted at Nami Nori in New York City.
He teamed the outfit with a white necklace and orange-tinted sunglasses, and was pictured mingling with other guests at the minimalist Japanese restaurant.
The Cry Me A River hitmaker endured a turbulent October after Spears made explosive claims about him in memoir, The Woman In Me.
Among her revelations was the claim that she had an abortion because Timberlake ‘didn’t want to be a father’ and that he allegedly cheated on her during their three year romance from 1999-2002.
The dinner event was celebrating the new Billionaire Boys Club collection. The Streetwear Label was created by Pharrell & Nigo.
The collection is the brand’s final collection in celebration of its 20th anniversary year.
While at the event Justin was seen posing with Japanese fashion designer Nigo, 52, and Pharrell, 50.
The artist sported a denim jacket over a white shirt and khaki pants. He teamed the outfit with sneakers ad a brown hat.
Pharrell, 50, looked cool as ever in a vintage-style green suit, gold belt, and black boots.
Cara Delevingne, 31, was also present. The Model looked effortlessly cool in a black turtleneck, oversized black blazer, and striped pants.
She accessorized with a silver chain necklace and wore her shoulder-length brunette tresses in light waves.
Jennifer Lawrence’s husband Cooke Maroney was spotted chatting it up inside. He looked casual cool in a black jacket.
Basketball player Carmelo Anthony, 39, rocked a red and white Louis Vuitton jacket.
While Timberlake hasn’t publicly responded to any of the claims Spears made in her book, which was published on October 24, he did turn off Instagram comments.
A source told Page Six that the decision was made because of the, ‘hateful, disgusting things people were saying’ which comes days after sources claimed he was ‘not happy’ with Spears’ revelations in the book.
However, on Thursday it was revealed that he might finally break his silence on the memoir, with sources claiming music producer Timbaland is pushing for the singer to address the fallout in a new song.
It was previously reported that Justin wanted to refrain from speaking out on the explosive allegations so as not to ‘get in the way’ of Britney’s chance to finally share her story.
But now, insiders claim Justin’s longtime collaborator Timbaland is trying to get Justin into the studio to write a song in ‘response to all the haters’.
‘Justin is his great friend and Tim is going to protect that relationship at all costs,’ they told DailyMail.com exclusively. ‘Everyone jumps to all sorts of conclusions immediately, and Justin is an easy target right now.’
They continued: ‘Timbaland actually wants to use all this energy and get Justin in the studio to write a song about it all, to give his response to all the haters.
‘They have been writing for a while and have many songs for Justin’s next album, but Timbaland has seen what these last few weeks have turned into and wants to get Justin to let his creative juices flow and make a song that will react to everything and also be a complete banger.’
Justin has collaborated with Timbaland, 51, on all five of his studio albums, with the pair teaming up for a sixth time for his next release which will drop ‘top of next year’.
Britney claims in the book that she got an abortion when she was just 19 years of age because he wasn’t ready to be a father so young.
‘It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day,’ Britney wrote.
‘This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young,’ she added.
‘If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father,’ she added.
‘To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life,’ Spears writes of the abortion.
A source previously told DailyMail.com that Justin was planning to retain an air of silence in the wake of the book release, despite reportedly having qualms with Britney divulging details about the abortion.
‘Justin thought that the decision that they made was a decision made together and he intended to never talk about it and for it to be kept their secret forever,’ the source said.
Earlier this week, a source told DailyMail.com, ‘Justin has not reached out to Britney at all about any of this and he is not going to because there is nothing he can say to her.’
‘She was there and is just telling it from her point of view,’ the source added.
‘That does not mean he is okay with it. Justin is not at all happy about what has come out in this book.’
A second insider claimed the ‘baggage’ from Britney’s memoir has been ‘stressful’ for Justin and his wife Jessica Biel, 41.
The pair – who have been married since 2012 – share sons Silas, eight, and Phineas, two.
