ISBR Organized Mega Internship Fair "Skill Capital 2k18"

Internships are a crucial part of the overall development of management students. As a unique initiative, International School of Business and Research (ISBR) Business School, Electronic City, Bangalore, recently organized Skill Capital 2k18, the Mega Internship Fair on May 29 and May 30, 2018. Focusing on the premise that recruiters nowadays prefer to select candidates based on their skills, Skill Capital offered a platform to students to meet over 60 recruiters who participated in this event. Summer Internships for management students helps them immensely in the smooth transition from being a student to becoming a professional who will be ready to encounter any challenges that might come across their way. The placement cell at ISBR along with the student committee worked together as a team to invite numerous leading organizations to be a part of Skill Capital. Director of the Placement Department, Mr.Abbas Ali Uppin, said, “While being an institute that provides an industry ready curriculum to the students, we also believe in a strong connection between the students and the employers. Giving a good exposure to the students regarding their specializations and the skills required there within, we look to create exciting and enticing talent that any good company would cherish having on board.” The companies that were a part of Skill Capital 2k18 included IBM, Future Group, Myntra, Microland, Ernst & Young and many others. The fair was organized under the guidance of Mr. Amit Kanchanbaras, Mr.Abbas Ali- Director of the Placement Department and the student placement committee consisting of students of different batches. Rahul Pandey, the student committee lead of the Internship Fair, noted, “It was quite an amazing experience overall. We along with the placement department made the best of the efforts to first understand the pool of talent that we had at our reserve and then approached companies accordingly. Student mapping and approaching the companies gave us a broad understanding of the whole corporate culture. After the grand success of the Internship Fair last year, we took up the onus of helping the junior batch organize a bigger and better event this year.” The recruiters selected students for the interview process for the internship based on their skills which would be beneficial for the achievement of organizations’ long-term go ...
